Welcome to Bradestino! We are Ilse and Wim, Belgian natives, and both have a passion for Brazil. Over the years we have discovered that Brazil is much more than a travel destination and through this website and future blog we would like to show you why.

Founder, Consultant & Author

I am a "brazilianholic" and got infected when I was 14 years old when I started corresponding with a Brazilian guy through International Penfriends Organisation. I instantly fell in love with this amazing country. My first trip to Brazil was in 2000 and more 7 trips were to follow. I have done my thesis on the Economic Situation in Brazil when I did graduate as Master in Marketing. Since then my passion is growing every day and I am eager to share my knowledge with the rest of the world.

I like traveling and Brazil is one of my favorite travel destinations. I especially like the Brazilian festivities such as Carnatal and the Oktoberfest in Blumenau. I am also a big concert goer as a I like a diverse range of music and one day I would like to join the Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro. My favorite dish is Feijoada and I believe that Brazil is a real paradise for foodies. I also love the adventure in the Pantanal and the Amazon Rainforest to explore the rich fauna and flora.

Bradestino Website Launch! On January 30, 2024 I was delighted to announce the launch of my new #bradestino website. As I am a newbie in Webdesign it took me several months of learning (attending evening classes and many hours of self-study) to be able to develop this website from scratch. (via html coding)

The website does not only contain travel information and tips but will also show you why Brazil is much more than a travel destination. It contains news abroad with highlights on Brazilian people that do make a difference in the international scene but there will be so much more.

Whilst it may not be perfect, I am still working on it. The site will be getting new content and updates over the next few months. The plan is to also develop a personal blog with more fun facts related to Brazil and eventually a web shop. But this will take some time!

Brand and Logo Launch! On February 19, 2024 I was delighted to announce that my #bradestino website has a ® Registered Logo. Thanks to my evening classes I was able to develop the logo myself via Adobe Illustrator.

It is an exciting period for me while I am building my #bradestino brand awareness and further expanding the content of my website.
